Choosing The Best Feng Shui Bedroom Colours

According to the principles of Feng Shui, the bedroom is one of the most private and closest rooms in your home. It is also the most energetically-connected room to you. Any adjustments you make as per Feng Shui principles is known to have a powerful effect on your personal energy.

If you are thinking about how to introduce Feng Shui colours for bedroom, painting your walls would be a great idea!

Purple for Prosperity

Purple is made up of soothing blue and fiery red. This makes it an extremely balancing colour, which can be helpful in a bedroom. Purple is also connected to the Xun (Wealth) area of the Feng Shui Bagua map, associated with self-worth and prosperity. You can add soothing shades of lavender to your bedroom for more balance and an increased sense of worthiness.

Blue, Green, Teal for Wellness

These three are great colours for bedrooms. They are connected to the wood element in Feng Shui, representing growth, vitality and fresh, new beginnings. These are also colours that we often see in nature, the sea, sky and plants, bringing a sense of calm and peace of mind. Choose pale pastel shades of blue and green if you want to create a soothing ambience.

Pro Tip:

Take into account the environment of the bedroom as you choose which colours to incorporate. If you share the bedroom with your partner, you should check in with them too!

That said, if you don’t want to paint your walls or aren’t able to if it is a rental property, you can always bring in colour through décor pieces and accessories. You could introduce some new bed linens in a colour that speaks to you. You can also add throw pillows or a pot of fresh flowers for a pop of colour! This can be a great way to change things up seasonally, based on what colours you are currently drawn to. Artwork is another great way to incorporate different colours into your home décor.

Hope you find these tips helpful.

Reiki Chakra, Colours and Food!

Vegetables

In Reiki, there are seven main Chakras where the important glands of our body from head to toe are located. Here are some foods according to reiki chakra colours that you should include in your diet to activate each Chakra in the body.

Crown Chakra, Colour: Violet, Food: Blackberry

The Crown Chakra is located on our head and is governed by the colour violet. This Chakra is believed to help develop our spiritual side. According to Reiki, we should be eating similar-coloured food as per the Chakras. For this particular chakra, you should consume more brinjal or Indian Blackberry (Jamun).

Third Eye Chakra, Colour: Indigo, Food: Blueberry

Under the Crown Chakra is the Brow Chakra, which is in between both the eyebrows. This Chakra is also known as the Third Eye Chakra. It helps in meditation and in planning for future events. This Chakra’s colour is Indigo. Hence, eating blueberry helps to activate this Chakra.

Throat Chakra, Colour: Sky Blue, Food: Blueberry

Throat Chakra is situated at the joint of our throat and the colour that activates this particular chakra is light blue. This Chakra can help you enhance your communication skills. Eat more blueberry to activate this Chakra.

Heart Chakra, Colour: Green, Food: Green vegetables

The Heart Chakra is located right below the throat and is governed by the colour green. Consuming green veggies such as cucumber, spinach, coriander, mint and lady’s finger can work wonders for this Chakra.

Solar Plexus Chakra and Sacral Chakra, Colour: Yellow, Orange, Food: Lemon, Papaya

According to Reiki, the Solar Plexus Chakra is situated about two fingers right above the navel. The colour yellow governs this chakra. As for its location, if you place two fingers under the navel, that is where you will find it. It is governed by the colour orange. Both the chakras control the lungs and digestive system. Include musk melon and papaya in your regular diet to activate both these chakras.

Root Chakra, Colour: Red, Food: Carrot, Watermelon, Tomato

Root Chakra also known as the Base Chakra is ruled by the colour red. This chakra revolves around women’s health issues such as menstruation and PCOD alongwith men’s overall health. Vaastu Recommendation For Placing Idol Of Durga Maa

With Navratri around the corner and people bringing home idols of Goddess Durga, one question that arises is in which direction should Maa Durga face when placed?

Our experts say that every deity has its own directions and they should be worshipped according to the direction that is set for them.

As per mythological beliefs, the idol of Maa Durga should be kept in either the south or south-east direction. South is considered to be the zone of fame and Kaali is an abundant source of energy believed to bring fame and recognition to individuals. The South-East zone stands for fire and money, and Maa Durga is considered to be the eternal source of energy and power.

It is also important that while worshipping, the devotees should face the south or east direction. In addition to this, worshipping by facing the east direction awakens the consciousness and while facing the south brings immense mental peace.

In addition to the direction of worship, make sure that the entrance of the worship place of Maa Durga is not in front of the main entrance gate. The feet of the idol should be at least at the chest level of the one who performs the ‘puja’.

Along with this, you can place pyramids made of wood or plastic in the north-east direction of the house. Also, keep in mind that the pyramid is hollow from below. Finally, one must make a swastika before starting to worship.

There are specific directions even for placing ‘diyas’ and lamps at the place of worship for Maa Durga. If there is any lampshade, it is to be placed in the southeast corner.

It is said that according to Vaastu, there should be light yellow, pink or green colour in the room because it is believed to bring positive energy into the worship room.

Hope you find this article handy. Wishing you a Happy Durga Puja!
