The flagship unit at Howrah houses the Research & Development Division which is recognized by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, as a centre for Basic and Applied Research in Paint and Resin Technology.

Berger’s R&D Division is fully equipped with modern paint testing equipment and analytical instrument. Berger R&D team performs the following activities:

Cutting-edge research
Product & process development
Provide technical support to customers and manufacturing units.
Support Raw Material Procurement Team through identification of alternate / new raw material and development of new vendors.

Our R&D activities include business segments encompassing Architectural, Wood Coatings, Automotive OEM, General Industrial, Protective Coatings and Powder Coating.

Berger presently has technology tie-up with Dupont Herberts Automotive Systems, USA for Automotive Coatings.
